Privacy Policy
What data we collect when you brief or buy production work, why we collect it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.
The short version
We collect what an enquiry or an order needs and nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers, and analytics stays switched off until you say yes.
Who is responsible
Arclight Media Productions, registered at [[REGISTERED ADDRESS]], India, is the data controller for this site. Contact us about anything on this page at info@arclight.co.in.
What we collect
Enquiry data: the name, email address and message you send through the contact form.
Order data: everything in your brief, any reference files you upload, and your name, email address and company. Your card details are handled by Dodo Payments and never reach our servers.
Analytics data: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages were visited and roughly where in the world from. If you reject them, Google Analytics receives a cookieless signal that a page was viewed and nothing that identifies a device or a person.
Technical data: standard server and edge logs, including IP address and browser type, kept briefly to keep the site up and spot abuse.
Cookies, and the choice you were given
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and are always on. They do not track you between sites.
Analytics cookies are off by default. The banner on your first visit is a real choice: rejecting it sets analytics storage to denied and no `_ga` cookie is written. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, which clears your decision and asks again.
We do not use advertising cookies and no third party sets a cookie through us for advertising purposes.
Why we are allowed to
We process enquiry and order data to take steps at your request and to perform our contract with you. We cannot deliver work without the brief.
We process analytics data on the basis of your consent, which is why nothing is collected until you give it and why withdrawing it is one click.
We process technical data on the basis of legitimate interests: keeping the service running and preventing abuse.
Who we share it with
Cloudflare, to serve and protect the site. Resend, to deliver email. Cloudinary, to store reference files and portfolio media. Dodo Payments, to take payment as merchant of record. Google Analytics, only if you accepted analytics cookies.
Each handles data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell or rent your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Where your data goes
Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in, including in the EU, the United States and India. Where a transfer leaves a region with its own transfer rules, it is covered by the relevant provider's standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Order briefs and delivered work are kept for as long as we may need to support or re-deliver them, and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Reference files you upload are deleted on request and otherwise kept for the life of the project plus a short window in case a revision needs them.
Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting on our Google Analytics property.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Email info@arclight.co.in to exercise any of these and we will act on it. We may need to confirm you control the address before we do, which is a protection for you rather than an obstacle.
If you think we have handled your data badly, we would like the chance to fix it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data about children.
