Assessed Every Week, Not Just at the End
8 proctored assessments, one each weekend on that week's topics. You always know where you stand, and so does your mentor.
Every assessment, three parts
Part A: Multiple choice · 20%
Conceptual and theoretical questions on the week's topics.
Part B: Practical challenge · 60%
Hands-on coding, schema design or model building, based on the week's curriculum.
Part C: Code walkthrough · 20%
A short viva or recorded screen explanation of the decisions behind your implementation.
Proctored online
- Camera and Screen. Your webcam stays on and your whole screen is shared for the entire session.
- Your Setup. One monitor, a quiet room, and an identity check before you start.
- Academic Integrity. Zero tolerance for unauthorised AI help, plagiarism or switching tabs. A breach scores zero for that attempt.
Every Weekend
One assessment at the end of every week, on Saturday or Sunday, whichever you choose. Each runs 90 to 120 minutes, and attending is mandatory.
Pass With 50%
Score below 50% and you sit a re-evaluation within 48 hours, by Tuesday evening. The better of your two attempts counts.
Two Misses Mean a Mentor Review
Failing two weekly assessments in a row brings a mandatory review with your mentor, who looks at whether your track is the right fit.
70% for Your Certificate
Pass every weekly assessment and keep an overall average of 70% or more to present your capstone and earn the training certificate.

Months 3–6: The Arclight Internship
After the training, trainees who meet the published criteria join a small squad on real Arclight projects, with a named supervisor and one project a month.
Free · offered on merit
Month 3
Onboarding & Smart Contract Security Reviews
Join a squad on an Arclight project: learn its contracts and tooling, review them against a security checklist, extend the test suite with edge cases and fuzzing, and ship your first reviewed change.
Internship Project 1: A Security Review and Your First Shipped Change
Month 4
Production dApp Engineering
Build production-grade dApp features: event indexing, IPFS and off-chain data, gas optimisation, and clear transaction and error states, all on test networks.
Internship Project 2: A Production dApp Feature
Month 5
Token Systems, Layer 2 & Contract Patterns
Design token and NFT systems with OpenZeppelin, apply access control and upgradeable contract patterns where they're justified, and deploy to a Layer 2 test network.
Internship Project 3: A Token System on a Layer 2 Testnet
Month 6
Open Source, Audits & Final Showcase
Write an audit-style report on a contract you built, work on contributions to open-source Web3 tooling and present your work at the final showcase.
Internship Project 4: An Audit Report, Open Source and the Final Showcase

About This Programme
Eight weeks in two stages. Month 1 covers how blockchains and Ethereum work, your Web3 developer setup, the Ethereum Virtual Machine and Solidity, from syntax and data structures to contract design and testing with Hardhat 3. Month 2 builds production-style contracts with OpenZeppelin token standards, tests them for security flaws and connects them to a Next.js frontend with Wagmi, Viem and MetaMask, ending in a complete dApp deployed and verified on Sepolia.
Each month ends in work a mentor reviews: a testnet transaction exercise and a collection of Solidity contracts, then a capstone dApp you demonstrate live, with a smart contract walkthrough, a technical viva and a GitHub review.
Everything runs on Ethereum test networks with free test ETH, so you never buy or handle real cryptocurrency. Trainees who meet the published criteria are offered the free four-month Arclight Internship that follows.
Common Questions
What does the fee pay for?
Eight weeks of training: live lectures, mentor reviews of your projects and proctored weekly assessments, all of which cost money to run. It doesn't buy an internship. The Arclight Internship that follows is free, and it's earned, never sold.
Who gets the internship?
Every trainee who meets the published criteria, applied the same way to everyone: pass every weekly assessment, keep an overall average of 70% or more, present and defend your capstone, no breach of the academic integrity rules. Not everyone qualifies, and that's what makes it worth having. Those who do get four months of supervised project work, free of charge and on its own written terms.
Will I get a stipend?
No. You pay for the training, and the internship that follows is free and unpaid. Neither is employment.
Do you guarantee a job, a placement or the internship?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. The internship is earned on published criteria, not promised. What you will have is reviewed work, a portfolio and the experience to talk about it in interviews.
How long is the programme?
The training is eight weeks: 16 live lectures, a proctored assessment every weekend and two reviewed projects, ending in a capstone. Trainees who qualify then join the four-month Arclight Internship, months three to six of the batch, with one project a month.
Is it online?
Yes. Lectures are live online, and the weekly assessments are proctored online with your camera on and your screen shared. Tasks, submissions, scores and reviews live in your student portal, so you can join from anywhere. The internship is remote too.
When does it start?
With the next batch. As soon as your payment is received, you're placed in it and your enrolment confirmation is emailed to you with your start date. Your weeks count from the batch's start date, so you don't lose any time while you wait. New tasks unlock every week.
Are there any extra charges at checkout?
No. The price on the site is the full amount you pay, with no taxes or fees added at checkout. Your receipt arrives by email.
Will I need to pay for anything else?
You need a laptop, a webcam and a steady internet connection for the live lectures and proctored assessments. The tools we teach have free tiers that cover the coursework. Two costs are yours if you choose them: a custom domain for your Software Development Engineer project, bought from any domain registrar, and a paid AI model over a free one, billed by its provider. The Blockchain Developer track runs on test networks with free test ETH, so you never buy cryptocurrency.
Will my college accept this for internship credit?
That's your college's decision, so check with them before you enrol. Arclight isn't affiliated with or accredited by UGC, AICTE or any university, and our certificates aren't degrees or diplomas. Every certificate states its true dates and mode, and carries a QR code your college can use to verify it.
Can I get a refund?
Training programmes are a digital service, so payments aren't refundable once your place is confirmed. Read the plan details before paying, and ask us anything first. The refund and cancellation policy covers the exceptions, such as a duplicate payment.
How am I assessed?
Every weekend you sit a proctored assessment of 90 to 120 minutes on that week's topics: multiple choice (20%), a practical coding or architecture challenge (60%) and a short walkthrough of your code (20%). The pass mark is 50%. Below that, you get a re-evaluation within 48 hours, and the better attempt counts.
Do I get a certificate and a letter of recommendation?
You get your enrolment confirmation when you pay, and a Certificate of Training when you pass the training: every weekly assessment passed, with an overall average of 70% or more. A Letter of Recommendation is for top performers, based on their work, and is never automatic. Every document is issued in your student portal with a QR code anyone can scan to verify it.
