Internship Agreement

The terms of the free 4-month Arclight Internship, which trainees who meet the published criteria accept before it starts. Effective 2 November 2026.

The Short Version

  • The internship is free. You never pay for it, and it carries no stipend or salary.
  • It's a remote internship, not employment, apprenticeship or a contract for services.
  • 4 months of real Arclight projects in a small squad, supervised by a teaching mentor or an Arclight team member.
  • Complete the four monthly projects to earn the Internship Completion Certificate.

Who It's Between

This agreement is between Arclight AI Technologies, a company in formation based in India ("Arclight") and you, a trainee who has been offered the Arclight Internship. It starts when you accept it in your student portal, where we record the version, the time and your IP address. Our terms and conditions and the Student Handbook apply alongside it.

What the Internship Is

  • The internship is free of charge. It was never part of what you paid for, and no fee, deposit or charge of any kind is ever asked of you for it.
  • It carries no stipend, salary or other payment, and it isn't employment, an apprenticeship or a contract for services.
  • It doesn't guarantee a job, a placement or a recommendation.

Duration and Hours

The internship runs for 4 months, months 3 to 6 of your batch, entirely remote. Expect about 10 to 15 hours a week, at times you agree with your supervisor, and a review with your squad every week.

Your Supervisor and Projects

You work in a small squad, supervised by a teaching mentor or an Arclight team member who works on the project, named in your portal. They set your work, review it every week and are your first point of contact.

You work on Arclight's own products and internal tools, and on contributions to open-source projects: one project a month, as your portal sets out. You never work on paid client projects.

Your Work and Ownership

Code, designs and documents you create for Arclight's products belong to Arclight, and you assign the rights in them to us as they're created. Contributions to open-source projects follow that project's licence.

You can describe and show your work in your portfolio and in interviews, as long as you don't reveal confidential information.

Confidentiality and Data

Keep what you learn about Arclight's unreleased products, code, users and plans to yourself, during the internship and for two years after. Use only the accounts and access we give you, don't keep copies of user data, and delete anything confidential when the internship ends.

Conduct and Harassment

Treat your squad, supervisors and everyone you meet through the internship with respect. Arclight has zero tolerance for sexual harassment. Report any harassment through the Help page in your student portal (students.arclight.co.in/help) (choose Harassment) or to info@arclight.co.in; complaints of sexual harassment are handled as the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013 requires, and you won't be penalised for a complaint made in good faith.

Your Internship Completion Certificate

You earn the Internship Completion Certificate by completing all four monthly projects to your supervisor's approval, taking part in at least three in four weekly reviews, and keeping to this agreement and the Student Handbook. Letters of Recommendation go to top performers, at Arclight's discretion. Both carry a QR code anyone can scan to verify them.

Leaving or Ending the Internship

You can leave at any time; please tell your supervisor a week before. Arclight can end the internship with a week's notice if you stop taking part (for example, missing three weekly reviews in a row without telling us), or straight away for serious misconduct, after telling you why and giving you a chance to respond. An internship that ends early isn't certified.

Changes and Disputes

We can change this agreement only for future internships, or with your consent. Indian law applies, and we'll try to settle any disagreement by talking first.
