For Parents

Parents often help decide, and often pay. Here are straight answers to what you should know before your son or daughter enrols.

Questions Parents Ask

If something isn't answered here, write to us before anyone pays.

Is my child buying an internship?

No. The fee pays for eight weeks of live training: lectures, mentor reviews and weekly assessments. The four-month Arclight Internship after it is free, and offered only to trainees who meet criteria published before anyone pays. Nobody pays to intern with Arclight.

Can someone under 18 join?

No. The training programmes are for people aged 18 and over only, because the weekly assessments are proctored on camera. We don't enrol anyone younger, even with a parent's consent.

Does it guarantee a job, a stipend or college credit?

No job, placement or stipend is promised, and the training isn't employment. Whether a college accepts it for internship credit is the college's decision, so check with them first. Arclight isn't affiliated with or accredited by UGC, AICTE or any university.

What happens on camera during assessments?

Proctoring is live: an Arclight invigilator watches your camera and shared screen in real time. Nothing is recorded or stored, and the session ends as soon as your assessment does. You show a photo ID to the camera before you start. We look at it and don't keep a copy.

Can we get a refund?

Payments aren't refundable once the place is confirmed, so read the programme page and the refund policy before paying, and ask us anything first. A duplicate or failed payment is always returned, and so is the fee for a programme we cancel.

What does the training need at home?

A laptop, a webcam and a steady internet connection, for two live lectures a week and a proctored assessment every weekend. Everything else uses free tools.

How do we raise a concern?

Write to info@arclight.co.in, or raise a ticket from the student portal's Help page. Every ticket gets a number, we acknowledge it within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
